The Can Man Company, a Veterans Curbside Assistance for Neighborhoods Program, is a nonprofit public charity. We help veterans and eligible workers find entry-level and skilled work, serving homes and businesses across Southern California.
Our mission
To employ and train veterans, seniors and general laborers in maintenance and repair work, handyman and janitorial services.
Our goal is to reduce unemployment and homelessness by providing work skills, resources and job opportunities.

We provide handyman and curbside services to homes and businesses, and every job helps a veteran or local worker build skills and earn a living. Making your life easier is our number one objective.

Frequently asked questions
What are your service hours?
Handyman services: 7 days a week, 10am–7pm, by appointment only. Curbside services: Monday to Friday, 10am–7pm. Office: Monday to Friday, 9:30am–5:30pm.
How and when will my trash cans be taken to the curb?
Every community has its own pickup days, and some limit when cans can go out and come back. We take your cans to the curb the day before your regular pickup, in the morning or late afternoon, and bring them back on pickup day once the truck has been.
Why would I need this service?
It’s for anyone who is too busy to take their cans out and back, or who isn’t home the day before or after collection. We also clean cans and bins, and offer handyman services.
What does my curbside subscription cover?
The services you choose. There are several plan options, so you can pick the curbside service that fits your needs.
What types of communities do you serve?
HOAs, senior communities and single-family homes, as well as businesses.
How long is my subscription?
Month to month, billed on a recurring basis, with no contracts. We ask for two weeks’ notice before you cancel, so we can adjust your billing and take you off our route.
How do I subscribe?
Click Start Curbside Service or Book Now, fill in the short Get Started form, and you’ll go straight to our plans to choose the one that fits you.
What payment methods do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard, Discover and PayPal. Checks are accepted with paper billing only, which carries a $5.00 service fee.
Will you still come in bad weather or an emergency?
Rain or shine, we service you as usual. In a national or local emergency, we make every effort to service each account as far as law enforcement allows.
What handyman services are available?
Hauling from yard to curb, yard and garage clean-ups, room and office clean-outs, window cleaning for businesses, power washing, picking up and delivering furniture or shopping from local stores, and checking on your home while you’re away (bringing in newspapers and packages, watering plants), plus other jobs you need done around your home or business.
